Hidden Lazio device labelled with the provinces (and sea) it symbolises

Lazio is the central western region of Italy, lying south of both coastal Tuscany and landlocked Umbria.

Rome is at the heart of Lazio, with the provinces of Latina and Frosinone to its south and south-east, Viterbo to the north-west and Rieti jutting out to the north-east. The shores of Lazio are lapped by the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is part of the Mediterranean.

But there’s much more to Lazio than the undeniable delights of the Eternal City. Hidden Lazio will gradually build into a comprehensive guide to the whole region, for visitors and potential new residents.
